A romantic city proposal on top of Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix, AZ

When Andre reached out to me with help to plan a dreamy proposal to Hannah in Phoenix, I was so excited.

We discussed the options around Phoenix and how he had booked a dinner reservation at Geordie’s at Wrigley Mansion. This was a dream location that I’ve been meaning to check out so I went full send into planning mode.

Read on to see how this beautiful proposal bloomed for Andre and Hannah.

When you are planning to propose in a location you’ve never been to it’s immensely helpful to hire someone who can scope out locations. My partner and I made a reservation to check out the restaurant but also wanted to scout also the surrounding area. We knew Piestawa Park and Granada Park was nearby and wanted to provide some free locations for photos.

For couples considering Phoenix as their backdrop for proposals, I think either of these locations are great free options for sunset:

  • Piestawa Park Trails – We found this spot up some stairs and near a picnic area and thought it could have definitely worked

  • Granada Park – was a bit underwhelming with the dead winter grass, but there was this pretty Greek church in the distance that I would love to come back and photograph!

Andre (bless him) knew his babe wanted city views and ended up booking the private terrace for Hannah. Wrigley Mansion terrace rentals start at ~$350++ for a 2-hour reservation, but it does not include:

  • Decoration

  • Champagane or dinner

  • Photographer / Planner

You can pay more for their champagne and decoration package but we wanted something unique, so I went to buy all their white and greenery bouquets to start my decorating. Here is a little BTS I posted on my TikTok!

@idoadventureco This adorable couple drove to Phoenix from El Paso, Texas for the Billie Eilish concert and tonight he surprised her by getting down on one knee. 💍 #willyoumarryme #proposal #ido #phoenixaz ♬ BIRDS OF A FEATHER - Billie Eilish

Once we got the space decorated, all that was left to do was set up my tripod and get in position for the couple to come down the stairs! They were under the impression they were on a “private garden tour” before their dinner reservation. When Hannah came down the stairs and saw the setup, she immediately started getting emotional. We pulled off the surprise of their lifetime and I am so happy for this adorable couple on the next chapter of building their lives together!

This was by far my most prideful proposal to date. There love shines so bright in these. I hope you enjoy the photos! <3

One of the things I love most about planning proposals at Wrigley Mansion is that there are multiple beautiful locations to choose from, and each one creates a completely different feeling for the moment.

When couples ask me where they should propose, I usually start with the type of atmosphere they want the proposal to have.

garden terrace

If you’re dreaming of something that feels romantic, lush, and a little bit grand, the Garden Terrace is a beautiful choice. It’s surrounded by greenery and has that classic estate-garden feel that instantly makes the moment feel special. The space feels private and elegant, which is perfect if you want the proposal to feel intimate but still visually stunning in photos.

geordie’s terrace

For couples who want incredible views, Geordie’s Terrace is hard to beat. From here you can see sweeping views of the Phoenix skyline and surrounding mountains, and sunset here is absolutely incredible. The tiled stairs and smaller terrace space create a really beautiful setting for a proposal moment that feels cinematic but still personal.

something most people don’t realize

Another reason I love planning proposals here is that the experience doesn’t end the moment you pop the question.

After the proposal, we get to wander around the property and take photos throughout the mansion. The Wrigley Mansion has so many incredible indoor rooms and scenic outdoor terraces that make for amazing engagement photos. It turns the whole experience into something that feels like a private tour and a celebration rather than just a quick proposal moment.

You really can’t go wrong.
